About bunq
Entrepreneur Ali Niknam founded Amsterdam-based bunq in 2012. The neo-bank aims to radically change the traditional banking sector. bunq is the first fully mobile bank in the Netherlands, is the first party in 35 years to be granted a European banking licence by the ECB, achieves the largest Series A investment ever for a European fintech and is the first European neo-bank to be structurally profitable.
The challenge
To support both its international and national growth, bunq asked us to position it in international media as an innovator and disruptor of the traditional banking sector.
Our approach
We pursue a proactive PR policy in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France, as well as targeting international finance and fintech media based on specific milestones and mutually agreed proof points. In doing so, we work per country with carefully selected local professionals from our own partner network to ensure impact and relevance for that specific country.
