Media training

Your ideas, services and products deserve a stage. But how do you make an impact once you are on that stage? With a clear message and an inspiring story. And the great thing is: you can decide which part of your story is highlighted in the media. How? We explain this to you in a media training course. This is not a course where we teach you to jump through journalists' hoops, but a training that helps you tell the best possible story at the best possible time. Don't let the media set your agenda, but learn how to set the media's agenda.

Why media training?

Media training teaches you how to present your products, ideas or services attractively in the media. You also learn the added value of what you do. Many entrepreneurs take what they do so much for granted that they overlook the story there is to tell about them. We teach you that there is not one story, but that you can reach other audiences with a variant of your story. This is how we open the door to media that are high on your wish list.

And once you are invited to tell your story, we tell you what to expect from the interview. We point out risks and opportunities and prepare you for the interview. Thanks to this preparation, you will face the press with confidence, and you will increasingly enjoy communicating your message.

What does a media course look like?

Because every organisation is different, our media training is tailor-made. Based on your needs, we train in-company, in our professional TV studio or on location. Your specific case is central, for which we conduct an extensive intake in advance. Media training is often in groups of up to six people, but we also offer one-on-one training.

We move quickly from theory to practice, covering every conceivable situation. From 'robbery journalism' to press moments with multiple questioners, from crisis communication and Q&As to in-depth interviews. Here, the media trainer reconstructs the cases you submit, so that you can handle them like a real press officer next time.

Crisis communication

When the shit hits the fan. A beautiful expression for a moment you would rather avoid. Yet sometimes something goes wrong. That's when you need to make sure you have a clear story. And when you are caught in the middle of a media storm, it is hard to look at the situation with distance.

That is why it is very important to think about crisis communication at a time when nothing is going on. So that you know what to do when the need arises. This is why we also pay attention to crisis communication in our media training. We prepare you for tough questions, teach you how to steer the conversation towards your core message and tell you what to say and, most importantly, what not to say.
