"I am very pleased with this expansion of our content marketing department. Marije and Giselle bring with them a lot of experience and strategic knowledge. Moreover, as people they fit well within our organisation," says Dennis Mensink, founder and owner of Mediatic. "Like the rest of the team, they have an open and entrepreneurial attitude. So I have no doubt that both our clients and colleagues will find Marije and Giselle to be real reinforcements."

Mediatic expands with journalistic communications professional

Marije Rispens has over twelve years of experience in the communications industry. During and after studying journalism, Rispens worked as a freelancer for her own text agency. Then, at Rotterdam-based communications agency Havana Orange, she helped various organisations tell their stories. Always from a journalistic basis, with the service of a communications professional.

"Putting down difficult topics as simply as possible is what I get energy from. So I am looking forward to working for the leading organisations Mediatic works for. At the same time, I expect to develop even more on the strategic aspect of communications at the Amsterdam agency," Rispens says.

International writing experience

After Giselle Defares obtained her master's degree in Information Law, she gained extensive writing experience in the Netherlands and the United States. She wrote for, among others, The New York Times, The Huffington Post, BNN VARA, VICE and the sustainable platform OneWorld. Always with the right style and tone that seamlessly connects with the target group.

Defares: "I like to immerse myself in thought-provoking stories and I expect I will definitely find them with Mediatic's progressive clients. Whereas until now I have mainly written about media, technology and culture, I am looking forward, in my new role, to biting into other topics as well."
